About Me
Aloha! My name is Chan tel Perrin. I was born and raised on the island of O'ahu and now call Mountain View on Hawai'i Island home. My family and I moved to Hawai'i Island inn 2019, and it has become the place where I hope to plant roots and continue building our future.
One of the most important parts of my life is my family. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I am a mom of 12 children in a large blended family, which means there is rarely a dull moment in our house. My youngest four boys keep our family especially busy with school, football, activities, and everyday adventures. Being part of such a large family has taught me patience, flexibility, leadership, and how to manage about a hundred things at once.
After spending many years focused on raising my family, I decided to return to college. I earned my associate degree in 2026 and am now continuing my education in business Administration. My areas of interest include finance and marketing. Returning to school after being away for more than 20 years has definitely challenged me, especially while balancing family, community responsibilities, and everything else life throws my way. However, it has also reminded me that it is never too late to learn something new or work toward another goal.
Community service is also important to me. I have had the opportunity to serve on the Hawai'i County Windward Planning Commission, where I have learned more about land use, development, infrastructure, and the decisions that affect our communities. I also ran for public office, an experience that pushed me far outside of my comfort zone and taught me a great deal about leadership and the community I call home.
If I had to choose one special thing about myself, it would be my ability to keep rebuilding and moving forward. My life has taken many unexpected turns, and my path has not always been traditional. I have been a stay-at-home mom, worked in management and operations, served my community, returned to college, and even became a political candidate. I am still figuring out what the next chapter will look like, and I think that is part of what makes life exciting.
This website is another step outside of my comfort zone. I am looking forward to learning more about technology, web design, and how I can use these skills in school, business, and future projects.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
